Applications and Bookings
- Birthday parties must be booked in advance. 10 days for Abby’s Aqua Party and 20 days for Arry’s Inflatable Party.
- Bookings are subject to availability;
- Abby’s Aqua Party Package is only available on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
- Arry’s Inflatable Party Package is only available on Sundays.
- Recommended ages for Abby’s Party Package is 2 years and older, recommended ages for Arry’s Party Package is 8 – 15 years old.
- There is a 30 child maximum for Birthday Party bookings.
- Amendment and cancellation requests must be submitted to the Bookings Team Leader in writing.
Fees & Charges
- Costs of hire are in accordance with the current Fees and Charges endorsed by the Council.
- Payments can be made over the phone, via EFT or in person, as per instructions on the issued invoice.
- Birthday parties are to be paid within 5 business days of receiving confirmation. If payment is not received the booking will be forfeited.
- Refunds or credits cannot be given once a party has been booked and paid for.
- Birthday party options prices are for up to 30 children maximum.
Hirers Responsibilities
- Birthday parties are booked for a 2 hour period. You may access your area half hour prior to party start time to decorate. All decorations are the responsibility of the birthday party host and must be removed promptly by the host at the conclusion of the birthday party.
- Additional Club Room Hire can be organised with the Bookings Team Leader.
- You are welcome to bring your own party food. Outdoor barbeque facilities may be used, subject to availability. Please note barbeque facilities cannot be reserved for the exclusive use of the party booking.
- Catering is available through our onsite café, please contact Cafelife (thediningroom@hispwa.com.au) directly to organise your food package. For further information their Party Menu can be found via the following link https://active.armadale.wa.gov.au/cafe
- All party guests must adhere to AFAC’s Watch Around Water policy.

- Children under the age of eleven (11) years entering the aquatic facility must be supervised by an adult or person over the age of seventeen (17) at all times
- Children under the age of six (6) years must be accompanied in the water and within arm’s reach by an adult or person over the age of seventeen (17) at all times.
- Children must be supervised at all times within the facility and surrounding grounds.
- No personal or hired items/equipment to be left in the facility following your booking. The City takes no responsibility for remaining items and these will be disposed of immediately.
- Cleaning requirements;
- At the conclusion of the booking the hirer shall:
- Leave the entire facility in a clean and tidy condition,
- Sweep all floors,
- Spot mop any spillages,
- Place all rubbish in the external bins provided,
- The hirer must report any damage that has occurred either accidentally or maliciously to any part of the facility.
- Turn off all lights & air conditioning prior to departure after booking.
- At the conclusion of the booking the hirer shall:
Inflatable
- Rules of Use;
- Maximum number of patrons permitted on the inflatable at one time will be 2
- Patrons must follow Lifeguard instructions at all times
- Step onto inflatable one at a time
- Enter water feet first from slide
- No swimming under inflatable
- No sharp objected permitted on inflatable (watches, jewellery. Sunglasses, goggles or floatation devices)
- Exit via side of pool when you fall from inflatable
- No bodily contact with other patrons
- No running, diving, flips or bombies from inflatable
- Hirers Responsibilities;
- Anyone who is unable to swim 15m unaided will not be permitted to use the inflatable.
- Max weight permitted is 240kg.
- Max height permitted is 1.70m.
- Minimum age of user must be 6 years
Restrictions
- All patrons must abide by the centre’s Conditions of Entry, located at the main entrance. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the booking, with no refund.
- No confetti, rice, flower petals or similar material to be used.
- No candles or live flames.
- Smoke/Fog machines are not permitted as they interfere with the alarms. Charges will apply for alarm activation.
- Smoking is prohibited in all facilities and within a 10 metre radius of doors, windows and vents.
- Helium balloons are permitted as long as they are anchored and are removed at the completion of the booking.
City of Armadale Responsibilities
- The City of Armadale will make every effort to provide the hirer with a clean and tidy facility.
- The City of Armadale will take every reasonable care and precaution to ensure that all utilities, services and equipment are in proper working order, but will not accept responsibility for breakdowns beyond its control.
- The City of Armadale is not responsible for any damage, theft or loss of items belonging to or the responsibility of the hirer.
Additional Assistance
- If you require assistance during office hours contact the City on 9394 5000.
- Report any observed facility damage during your booking to Recreation Centre staff.
Personal Responsibility and Indemnity
I acknowledge and agree that, to the full extent permitted by law, including without limitation to the full extent permitted by the provisions of the Trade Practices Act 1974 or the Fair Trading Act 1987, as they may be amended or varied from time to time:
- I acknowledge that any activities or exercise I undertake while within any of the City of Armadale recreation facilities (Armadale Fitness and Aquatic Centre or Recreation Centre), or its surrounds, are at my own risk (as to death and personal injury) including the use of any recreation services, facilities, or equipment;
- I will not hold the City of Armadale (or its officers, employees, agents, volunteers, or representatives) liable for any personal injury or death and related losses, damages, costs, charges or expenses (‘loss’) sustained, suffered or incurred by me arising out of, as a consequence or in connection with my membership, any exercise undertaken by me or the use by me of any recreation services, facilities or equipment, or my presence on recreation centres premises or its surrounds, and I expressly release and discharge the City of Armadale (and its officers, employees, agents, volunteers, or representatives) from any liability for such loss;
- I will disclose any medical condition that may in any way affect my ability to participate in any activity at the recreation centres and consent to the details of my personal/medical condition being used in the event of an emergency;
- I have read, acknowledge and agree that the terms and conditions attached to this application apply to my booking.
