Royal Life Saving Society WA, in partnership with the Department of Training and Workforce Development, is offering a 4 day Swimming and Water Safety Teacher course, with fee-free places available for eligible participants.

This course provides the skills, knowledge and qualifications required to plan and teach swimming and water safety programs in pools and other controlled aquatic environments. It’s an excellent pathway into the aquatic industry or a great way to gain a nationally recognised qualification.

Pool Lifeguard Awards are valid for one year from the date of your assessment.

Pool Lifeguards require a high degree of judgment, knowledge, skill and fitness in both day-to-day guarding and the stress of an emergency. Regular update training helps sustain the lifeguard’s confidence and ability to prevent accidents and respond competently when they occur.
