COVID-19 measures

Is it safe to visit the AFAC, what measures do you have in place?

As per the government requirements, we have completed our COVID Safe Plan to ensure we have the correct measures and mitigations in place at our facilities. Our staff have all completed mandatory hygiene training and additional cleaning measures have been implemented across the facility. Hand sanitisers are in multiple areas throughout the facility and we ask that everyone make use of these.

Is gym equipment being cleaned after every use?

Staff will clean equipment throughout the day.

We also ask that our members play their part and help maintain cleanliness by using disinfectant wipes to clean equipment before and after use.

What do I need to bring with me?

A full size towel is compulsory when using gym equipment. Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated and our staff would love if you bring your smiling faces, we’ve missed you!

What do I need to do differently?

To help maintain social distancing, you’ll notice floor markers have been placed around the centre to assist you in following these measures.  Please be kind and courteous of your fellow members and follow any instructions provided by staff.  Members will be required to tag into areas using their pass or wristband in order for us to meet the contact tracing requirements of our COVID safe plan.

Group fitness classes

What group fitness classes are back on?

A revised timetable has allowed for short breaks to allow for cleaning in between classes that require the use of equipment.

Will you still offer virtual classes?

We will continue to offer virtual fitness via Youtube and the Mywellness app, however livestream ZOOM classes have ceased.

My usual lesson day and time is no longer suitable, can I change it?

We understand that your schedule may have changed. We recommend submitting any changes before Swim School recommences to avoid missing out on your preferred lesson day and time.

My child was close to passing their current level before the centre closure; will they be reassessed?
